Players can farm most skills with various AFK methods, to gain earlier advantage from some stronger buffs and useful talents. However, this is unnecessary in a normal playthrough. Especially since skill levelling was made substantially quicker in the 0.5 Desert Update.
This is done by activating all three boss statues connected to it. Each is associated with one of the first three bosses. Defeating that boss will drop an essence necessary to activate their statue:

’s multiplayer (up to eight people), similarly facilitates a lot of collaboration and strategizing. But the game is far from derivative. It weaves tried-and-true survival sim elements into a tight play loop where the game is the grind in a way that feels meditative without being too repetitive.
Still being early access, there isn’t much of a tutorial, or, like, any tutorial at all, so be on the lookout for little visual cues to learn how to interact with things. Different icons will become highlighted and let you know how to open various other menus, so if you’re trying to do something and not having much success, just take a second to see if the game is desperately trying to tell Core Keeper Gameplay you to press E instead of angrily clicking away.
Screenshot by Bonus Action To feed cows and other animals in Core Keeper, move a crop to your active item slot so that you’re holding it. Once your character is holding a crop, the animals will approach. They’ll keep eating until you run out of crops or switch them out of your active slot.

Screenshot by Bonus Action For all its cozy pixel graphics, your character can die in Core Keeper. You can turn this off in the settings when starting a new server, but if you have survival turned on, here’s what to expect.
Torches are one of the first and easiest items you can craft in Core Keeper. They just require wood to make, are great sources of light, and can be easily placed wherever you need them.
Character death causes you to lose all items in your backpack. You’ll keep the items that were in your toolbar, so consider item placement wisely when going into tough combat.
It’s also a good idea to take the time and fully clear out areas, so the light can actually reach all the dim corners and not get cut off by random chunks of wall.
